Don Julio 70 Cristalino marks the world’s first clear Añejo, created in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the tequila distillery founded by Don Julio González. This unique product celebrates our founder’s pioneering vision in revolutionizing the tequila category, giving birth to the first luxury artisanal tequila in Mexico. Don Julio 70 Cristalino Añejo encapsulates the complexity of a traditional Añejo, distilled twice and matured to perfection for 18 months in American white oak barrels. It is then charcoal filtered to restore the fresh agave flavor present in Tequila Blanco, achieving an aromatic tequila with notes of vanilla, caramel, oak and agave. Its process makes it perfect to enjoy chilled; straight or on the rocks, and accompanied by fruity and fresh flavors.
Tasting Notes:
- Appearance: Bright, crystalline with silvery hues.
- Nose: Fruity notes of guava and lime stand out, as well as intense cooked agave, vanilla and caramel notes. It also has a delicate alcohol note.
- Palate: Honey and caramel stand out, fruity style, guava and lime, a spicy vanilla tone, sweet and slightly woody at the end.
Pairing: Salmon / Sweet and sour sauces / Seared tuna / Tuna carpaccio
